“No hour is ever eternity, but it has its right to weep.”
― Zora Neale Hurston, Their Eyes Were Watching God
My heart is weeping and my eyes provide my tears’ escape route.
Today I join fellow bloggers in a day of remembrance for all those whose lives were lost in the Newtown, Connecticut, tragedy this past Friday, December 14, 2012. No regular post. No stories. No reminiscing or laughing. Just hearts united in mourning the loss of these precious little ones and their courageous teachers.
May we each hold our children closer today than we did yesterday, kiss them one more time, say I love you out loud, read together, play together, pray together, and remember always that life is a treasured, but temporary, gift.
God bless and be with those in need of our continued prayers.
